Ar Mo Chosa

11 Apr

Blazer-Heritage by BR, Shirt & Belt -H&M, Jeans-UO, Shoes-LAMB, Clutch Bag-River Island, Ring-Charlene K

You may recall my sheer delight & excitement when I purchased these lovely LAMB Shoes, well folks they got their first outing on Sunday. I wore them out for dinner, paired with my trusty skinny jeans & my new blazer which I bought on sale – you gotta love a bargain! I love that the heels give me height & yet they are quite comfortable – I always feel so much better with a pair of high heels on.

I have feeling this Summer they will be a permanent fixture ar mo chosa (Irish – which translates to “on my feet”)…

Nautical in Navy

28 Mar

Trench Coat Dunnes, Jeans Urban Outfitters, Belt & Bag French Connection, Boots Jimmy Choo for Hunter, Rings F21 & Charlyne K

On Sunday myself and my boyfriend took a wander around the city. Feeling nautical in my navy trench coat & my new long sleeved stripe top we thought it would be fun to take some photo’s by the harbour. I bought this trench coat three years ago, a star buy at a mere €40. It’s perfect for the change in seasons & will certainly be a spring staple this year.

Although there was a serious chill in air with the sun shinning & clear blue skies I can’t help but feel excited for Spring to finally arrive.

Oversized Sweater Staple

10 Mar

Sweater-H&M, Pants-Zara, Rings-F21 amp;

I bought this oversized sweater at the weekend, the moment I clapped eyes on it I knew it was going to become a wardrobe staple. I wore it to a gig paired with my bargin Zara pleather pants (bought on sale for under $20….score!)

It is also perfect for lazying about the apartment on rainy afternoon, which I tried & tested taking the photos for this post.

P.S I am looking forward to Summer when it’s possible to take photos outdoors….

Choo Love

23 Feb

You may recall my little dilemma to Splurge or Conserve, well here are the results…..

Some say when you find true love, you just know & I believe it to be true. While browsing through a downtown furniture store to my surprise I spotted a clothes rack hidden away in the upstairs gallery. With the boyfriend busy browsing kitchen tables downstairs I decided a quick sneak peek through the racks would do no harm. Having scanned through the small collection of designer hand-bags, clothes, jewellery & shoes, I was just leaving – making note to myself that a return visit was definitely in order. Then through the corner of my eye I spotted a pair of Jimmy Choo Hunter Rain boots peeping out from under the dress rack.  This is Faith I thought picking up the boots  & eagerly turning them upside down to check the size, 8, ding, ding, ding my stomach flipped…It was love at first sight! I love the crocodile embossed rubber, the gold detail on the buckle & the leopard print lining.

Then to my dismay I spotted the price-tag…way out of my price range! Teasing myself I decided to try them on anyway, up and down the racks I walked, stoping to admire them in the mirror by this stage the sales assistant was hovering over me,  re-confirming what I already knew, how fabulous they are! “Yep with a fabulous price-tag to boot” I replied as I was reluctantly taking them off, she then mentioned the golden words I love to hear “They are on sale – half price”……..

So needless to say I left the furniture store minus a kitchen table but very happy with my two Choo loves (the boyfriend & the boots)…….sometimes it feels good to splurge!

Put On Your Snow Boots!

13 Jan

As a kid snow days in Ireland were few & far between…. and if any snow did eventually fall, it was cherished! You see snow never lasted long! Come to think of it us Irish are probably the fastest Snowmen builders going….mainly down to
1. The threat of melting snow &
2. The fear that next door kids would rob your supply….you had to be up the crack of dawn

It`s just a Pity it wasn’t classed as a Winter Olympic sport, we could be in with the chance of a few medals!

So when we received about 15cm of snowfall in Toronto last night, I unleashed my inner child  & went out to play!
My Mam will be so proud I wrapped up well in my new knit shrug which my folks got me for Christmas……Toasty
